Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we store your name and email address through our authentication provider. When you write a letter, we store the recipient type, any name you provide, your answers to the questions, and the letter we generate.

You choose what to write. Please don't include information you wouldn't want us to process — such as financial details, government identifiers, or health information.

We use your answers to generate your letter, to show you your letters again later, and to operate and improve the service. We use your email to sign you in, to send essential account messages, and — only if you ask us to — to deliver letters or notifications.

To write your letter, your answers are sent to a third-party AI model provider that generates text on our behalf. They process this content only to return your letter and do not use it to train their models where we can prevent it. We do not sell your content.

We rely on a small set of providers to run Saidto: our cloud and database host, our AI model provider, our authentication provider, and — if you upgrade — our payments processor. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function and is bound to protect it.

A letter is private to your account by default. If you turn on a shareable link, anyone who has that link can read that one letter until you turn sharing off. We don't otherwise make your letters public.

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We don't use them to track you across other websites.

We keep your account and letters until you delete them or close your account. When you delete a letter or your account, we remove the associated content from our active systems, allowing for short delays in routine backups.

You can view, edit, and delete your letters from your account, and you can delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.

Saidto is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect information from them.

Saidto runs on globally distributed infrastructure, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure it remains protected wherever it is handled.

If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the product.
